The Standards & Technical Officer is a full time position that will support the GECA standards team in implementing our standards strategy. At GECA, we are deeply committed to continuous improvement, and this strategy focuses on updating our lifecycle ecolabel standards. This will include researching and interpreting scientific information, utilising information from other ecolabel schemes, and consulting with stakeholders and technical experts at a national and international level.
Researching and reporting on scientific and technical information is crucial to support the development and consistency of new ecolabel criteria for environmental standards based on ISO 14024. This position will also collaborate and engage with different stakeholders at a technical level and work with other GECA team members to deliver cross-cutting outcomes.
As required, the Standards & Technical Officer will work closely with our Standards & Technical Manager to help revise and update guidelines and policies relating to our lifecycle ecolabel standards. Additionally, this position will monitor and report on the impacts and outcomes of the GECA standards strategy.
