We’re pleased to welcome back Embelton Flooring, who have recently achieved GECA certification for two flooring underlay products! Their Hush Platinum Polyethylene Underlay and ImpactaMat Acoustic Flooring Underlay are both certified under our Floor Coverings standard, meaning they have a lower environmental, health and social impact.
Hush Platinum is a good quality, affordable, high density 2mm thick polyethylene underlay, suitable for use underneath most hard floating floor applications, including timber, bamboo and laminate. The product comes with an integrated peel and stick design, and utilises lay flat technology, making installation quick and easy. Hush Platinum also incorporates a 0.6mm damp-proof sheet, negating the need for a moisture barrier and helping to keep installation costs down.
ImpactaMat is made from recycled rubber and bound together with a waterproof flexible binder. It’s proven to achieve significant reductions in structure-borne noise, while also offering reductions in airborne noise (reflected noise in a room). It is versatile, easy to lay, and can be glued down or loose laid underneath tiles, timber, bamboo, laminate, cork, concrete screeds and even carpet.
