CSR is behind some of the most well-known products in the building industry, manufacturing everything from insulation to bricks and pavers. Two of its brands, Hebel (a range of high performance aerated concrete) and Gyprock (plasterboard), are GECA certified, making them environmentally-preferable choices for any building project.

CSR Hebel products are produced from a mixture of lime, sand and cement, plus a gas-forming agent, to create aerated concrete. This gives the concrete a range of unique benefits, including being a more sustainable alternative to regular concrete and brick veneer. Hebel concrete is extremely lightweight and highly fire-resistant, and panels are reinforced with steel for extra strength. Products are certified under GECA’s Environmentally Innovative Products standard.

CSR Gyprock products include plasterboard, cornice, compounds, adhesives and specialty plasters. They meet a range of fire, acoustic and thermal requirements across the construction industry. In 2011, the full range of Gyprock EC08 and Superchek environmental plasterboards were accredited to the GECA Panel Boards Standard which is compliant with the requirements of the GBCA’s Assessment Framework for product certification schemes.
