South Australian-based Astec Paints has been operating in Adelaide since 1978, producing a range of paints and coatings. Many of its products are GECA certified, meeting strict criteria for environmental impact and human health. Astec Paints is also the second GECA licensee to meet the revised Paints and Coatings standard.
The company manufactures a premium range of interior and exterior acrylic wall and alkyd trim products for the domestic and commercial markets. Astec also specialises in industrial primers, strippers, rust treatments, exterior skim coats, texture finishes and elastomeric membranes.
Astec Paints has grown over the last couple of decades. It started as a small four-person family-owned company, specialising in roofing, waterproofing and facade restorations, and now exports products internationally to Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, UK, and Singapore.
