GECA is about to commence the revision of its standards that cover paper products and calls on interested, experienced stakeholders for their input.
This process includes consultation with a Technical Advisory Group (TAG). The TAG functions as an interactive group who will work with GECA to assist in developing its standards and setting high environmental goals that are still achievable.
In order to produce high-quality standards it is important that the TAG represents a wide range of interested stakeholders; manufacturers, consumers, government agencies, special interest groups and relevant industry bodies and associations, so please register interest if you have the experience needed to assist with this exciting new development.
Consultation does not require a lot of time and there are no face-to-face meetings — communication generally occurs via a series of emails over a period of a couple of months.
GECA is also currently finalising the revision of the Textiles standard and has some questions in relation to wool processing.
If you are interested in participating with the Paper and Textiles Standard or can assist with the Textiles Standard, please standards@geca.org.au our Standards and Technical Manager on 02 8399 3112 .
