This week, Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) welcomes a new licensee: Smac Imports. Smac Imports is a quality steel manufacturer that now has certification for its Celia Caddy and Celia Storage Unit. The storage units come in a range of colours and sizes.
The two products have both been audited by BSI; one of two JAS-ANZ accredited conformance assessment bodies eligible to audit against GECA’s standards. Both products were audited against GECA’s Furniture, Fittings & Foam 2010 v2.1 standard, which assesses a product’s impact on the environment using a life cycle approach.
All products that are certified against GECA’s Furniture, Fittings & Foam 2010 v2.1 standard are recognised by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) at level A, and contribute 100% towards Green Star points and fitouts.
