We’re very pleased to welcome Novofibre as our latest licensee! Novofibre have had their innovative panel board product certified under GECA’s Panel Boards standard, meeting all GECA’s criteria for lower environmental, health and social impact.

Novofibre’s key point of difference lies in its construction. The board is made from wheat straw and natural fibres, as well as formaldehyde-free p-MDI adhesive. It’s a more sustainable solution to traditional wood panels, which is lightweight but strong, with heat storage and insulative properties, elasticity and malleability, acoustics and noise protection. It can be used in construction, interior decorating, flooring, furniture and sound insulation.

Novofibre’s oriented structural straw board also boasts “superior workability”; that is, it doesn’t break when cut and is easy to bend when required. It has good nail-holding capacity, is relatively earthquake-resistant, capable of preventing pests and claims to have “no chemical emissions”.

Novofibre’s interesting patterning makes it a unique choice for interior design enthusiasts. It comes in a range of sizes and thicknesses.
