GECA’s newest licensee, Lybase, is one of the first to take advantage of GECA’s GENICES recognition in gaining their certification with us.
GENICES recognition makes it easier for manufacturers to apply for GECA certification who have products certified under another ecolabel scheme affiliated with the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN). Lybase, a Malaysian-based LED lighting manufacturer, have their products certified with Malaysian-based SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd, as well as the Singapore Green Label’s ‘Environmentally Preferred LED’ standard. Both of these organisations are members of GEN, and this enabled Lybase to obtain GECA certification under our ‘International Ecolabelled Products‘ standard.
Lybase manufactures LED lighting products for a range of uses, including street lights, amenities lighting, high bay lighting and flood light applications. The lights have a minimum lifetime of over 30,000 hours, or roughly six years of continuous lighting for 12 hours a day. They are high-power, energy efficient and cost-optimised solutions. Currently, Lybase have the only GECA certified lighting products available.
