After an exemplary four years at GECA as both General Manager and CEO, we say thank you and farewell to Michelle Thomas. During her time with Team GECA, Michelle has provided outstanding leadership with compassion, purpose and impact. She masterfully steered the GECA Family through the pandemic to ensure we came out even stronger than before. Thank you, Michelle, and we wish you the very best for your exciting new chapter!
And we welcome Joshua Begbie as our new CEO. Josh is an outcomes-driven professional with a track record of positively impacting businesses and communities. He brings to GECA a wealth of experience in the not-for-profit, corporate and public service sectors.

We’re thrilled to have Ina Peukes as our new Standards & Technical Manager! With a passion for sustainability and a wealth of experience in circular economy and the sustainable built environment, Ina brings a dynamic international skillset to the team. She has worked and studied across Australia, Switzerland, Germany, France and Scotland.
Her background in the built environment, economic insight and big-picture thinking combine to provide a holistic approach to sustainability. Ina also brings to GECA a deep understanding of green building rating schemes that align with comprehensive lifecycle ecolabel standards.
We’re delighted to welcome Amanda Orme as our Client Engagement Officer. With a background in the interior design and architecture sector, Amanda has a decade’s experience working with both local and international design brands and products in sales and account management roles in Australia and the UK.
Amanda has hit the ground running, developing relationships with new and current licensees to help support their sustainability goals. A nature lover, Amanda is passionate about supporting innovative materials and sustainable design solutions.
