    Powerhouse Museum, Ultimo, NSW

In August 2015, HotHouse returns to the Powerhouse Museum with HotHouse LABs.

After a year of sell-out sessions in 2014, the series is back with a new workshop format designed to help organisations find their green advantage. HotHouse is offering these workshops with sister program of the Total Environment Centre, Smart Locale Ultimo-Pyrmont. Thanks to grant support from the City of Sydney, HotHouse LABs are FREE for organisations based or invested in the Ultimo-Pyrmont area.

HotHouse LABS mixes fast talks, group discussions and structured activities to help you explore challenges unique to your business. Whether you are a business owner, a building manager, a property owner, or you just work locally and are curious, these events are for you.

    HotHouse LAB events

LAB #1 on Wednesday 5th August looks at the BUILDINGS we work in.

How can you make your building more energy efficient and reduce bills? What are the options for installing solar panels on your rooftop? What’s a green lease and why might you want one? Need tips for affordable, sharp and sustainable office interior fit outs?

LAB #2 on Wednesday 12th August looks at the NEIGHBOURHOOD we work in.

How can you reduce the waste your organisation produces? How can you support staff to choose sustainable transport options? How can you create more green space in your area? Can your organisation influence new developments and public space activation?

HotHouse LABs are invigorating, inspiring and grounded in real practical relevance to your organisation. Gain the resources, ideas and contacts for making real, immediate changes to your organisation. Join us for one or both events – spaces are FREE and limited to organisations based, operating or invested in the Ultimo-Pyrmont area. RSVP with your full name, contact details and your organisation to brooklyn@tec.org.au
