GECA Ecolabelling Speaker Event, Tuesday November 29, 2011
To celebrate a year of positive change, increased visibility and vibrant new direction, GECA presented an exciting networking opportunity and speaker event.
‘Does Ecolabelling Drive Sustainable Production and Consumption?’ featured presentations from three leading practitioners in ecolabelling, sustainability and consumer research:
- Dr. Sasha Courville, Executive Director, ISEAL Alliance provided a world-view: ‘How ecolabelling drives sustainability: an international perspective.’
- Craig Jones, Sustainability Manager, Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety provided a case study of ‘Ecolabelling in action at Westfarmers’
- Nick Bez, Research Director, Mobium Group presented leading research to show how ecolabelling affects consumer behaviour in: ‘Ecolabelling to respond to the consumer appetite – confidence in green claims.’
The event was well attended by an audience of GECA licensees, sustainability managers, environmental consultants, and representatives from government, business and the green building sector.
