One of GECA’s Conformance Assessment Bodies (CABs) — BSI incorporating NCS International — which audits against GECA’s standards, has chosen to fit out its new office space with a selection of GECA certified products.
The CAB utilised Sheldon Commercial’s Logic Workstation Screen System and Vivo storage solutions both of which are GECA certified products. These items are manufactured using Low VOC recycled panelling and EO low emission board which aids indoor air quality for a healthy workplace, providing for end of life product separability and recyclability.
“Along with fitting with BSI’s global design specification for look and feel, sustainability was one of the key design requirements,” said Matthew Day, General Manager, marketing & customer insight.
“We knew from working with GECA there were some wonderful environmentally preferable solutions and are delighted the fitout is sustainable both now in providing for a healthy workplace, and also in the future in providing for its end of life product separability and recyclability.”
In May NSC International (NCSI), was acquired by BSI from the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA). BSI is the world’s first National Standards Body, founding member of ISO and fourth largest global certification body.
“At BSI we know that there are great products available which are better for the environment than standard office fitout products. Sheldon had a great range to choose from.” Peter Ho, Financial Controller at BSI incorporating NCSI Australia.
