Hence, this standard seeks to minimise the end-use phase’s impact through rewarding products that use less material, maximise recyclability, minimise hazardous ingredients/contaminants, and use environmentally preferable materials sourcing.
This standard applies to a range of panel board products used for interior fit-out applications such as interior panelling and as a component of furniture. This includes:
• Particle boards;
• Edge glued panels;
• Fibre boards;
• Plasterboard or gypsum board;
• Ceiling tiles; and
• Boards made from plastics and other polymers, textile fibres, metals, glass, mineral fibre, fibreglass, engineered timber and natural fibre products.
