We have designed a freestanding booth table to pair with the Ngalawa (Sit) Senior Sofa. The modular sofa comprising single, double, corner and ottoman components can be configured around the table for booth seating. The height of the table complements the seat height of the sofa, creating a comfy and cosy setting for individual or group work.
The simple and cost-effective table has a rounded rectangular base and top.
Koskela utilised biophilic design principles, which are based on a connection to nature, to develop the Learn by Koskela range. There are no straight lines or right angles. The select range of finishes also mimic nature. The steel base can be powder-coated in any of the four Senior colours, which are inspired by the Australian landscape. Birch laminate is also an option for the tops.
Koskela has supplied this sofa and table setting for countless breakout spaces in workplaces and universities and we believe this product is an ideal fit for school libraries and common rooms.
Ngalawa translates to sit, and the word originates from the Dharug Aboriginal language in Sydney.
